Local Sacramento area guy...
« on: April 04, 2011, 05:15:13 PM »
I was on my way out to Elk Grove this morning and stopped by Bill Morgan's shop...  He's on the corner of Sunrise and Recycle Drive right behind the powder coat shop.
Anyhow, this guy is a character!!! He's a Ford guy, I won't hold that against him.... He has some nice pieces he's working on there besides of few of his own.  Y'all know my rookie status as a Jet Boat guy by now.... I am a rookie and happy for all the members here that teach me stuff... Bill taught me some new things today.
1) I never knew the reason for setting back your pump... It gets more of your boat out of the water and the less boat you have in the water the faster you go....  That's my rookie explanation.... He said WAY more than that about the subject...
2) I never knew Ford had a Hemi style engine with an overhead cam!!!

This is awesome!!!

Here's the pump on it...
When I grow up I wanna be just like this.... Except Chevy powered!!!!

This is a customer's boat he's working on... He's already set the pump back, put in carbon fiber flooring (man that looks cool)

New engine painted purple to match the boat...

Dash filled in and waiting for new Autometer guages...

I'll stop in again on my next trip out to Elk Grove and see how things are progressing...
If you'd like to get in touch with Bill and use his services, he can be reached @ 916-600-6938

David, all you need to build Chevys is a catalog and a boy scout multi tool. It takes a man to build a Ford! By the way, if there are any real men out there that wouldn't mind me taking credit for their work...   :zwhistle:
